Question 7
We found the difference in how our skills had changed was a great deal compared to when we had done our preliminary task to our final piece. The preliminary task taught us techniques like 180 degree rule the match on action and shot reverse shot. This was very helpful when doing our final piece as it gave us more understanding of techniques we could include to make our filming more professional. It also made us more aware of continuity editing, so we could spot it out a lot easier. We found that when we used did our preliminary task we didnt use a tripod , we learnt from this in the actual task as the shot were a lot more steady and look more professional. We also had quite sloppy editing in the prelim as there is a shot scene of what shouldn't be in there you can tell as it does not match up. There was also a moment where you can see the fade happen at the start. In the editing of our final piece we used effects where as in the prelim we did not. In both the prelim and the final piece we used match on action, in the final piece with the girl coming through the door from out side we then take a front view inside the house of her coming in . We also used the 180 degree rule and the shot reverse shot when we an over the shoulder shot of the girl looking out of the window and then the imaginary girls perspective from out side. In the prelim when the two characters were talking the two techniques were applied.
